[Bruno gives a big inelegant sniff and wipes at his nose, looking around his room at all his rat-friends.]

Right... I'm- Look, I'm sorry you got dragged back here. I-i know my family stresses you out.

[ Martin reaches out to pet a rat-friend. ]

I've been um. Rather lonely recently, so.

[Well.. That's just genuinely sad. Martin is such a lovely huggable guy, so it's kid of... really sad that Martin's lonely. He shouldn't be.]

[And now Martin's husband is gone. So who knows. He leans in closer to him, tired really from the adrenaline and fear starting to wear out of him.]

[He doesn't look at Martin, just keeps his head down against him.]

What would I even say to 'em? 'Sorry I've been gone, I've been living in the walls for ten years'?
